Emily Roy Sayre graduated from Belhaven University in 2013 with a BFA in dance and immediately began her professional career performing in Louisiana and Texas. Her career has included being featured in 225 Magazine, The Advocate newspaper, VoyageHouston’s Most Inspiring Stories, dancing on the runway for the Avenue Rouge Fashion Show and performing aerial harness 40 feet in the air for the Louisiana Blues Festival. The choreographers and companies Emily has had the honor to work with include Uptown Dance Company, The Pilot Dance Project, Frame Dance Productions, Houston Grand Opera (Nixon in China, West Side Story, and The Pearl Fishers), Sean Curran, Julio Monge, Eric Sean Fogel, and Jennifer Mabus. Emily also dapples in dance for camera work. Her dance film, Fields of London, was presented at Short + Sweet Hollywood in Los Angeles and her newest film, HEADspace, was released this January.
