Lynn Lane is a photographer and the founder/artistic director/sound artist of the Transitory Sound and Movement Collective. He is currently the official photographer for the Houston Grand Opera as well as the Alley Theatre. Lynn primarily shoots in the arts with his work being regularly published internationally. He has received many awards and since being back in Houston, he was named “Best Photographer in Houston” as well as one of the “Top 100 Creatives” by the Houston Press. The FreePress Houston named as one of the “Top 5 Creatives in Houston to Watch. Lynn is currently represented for his photography by WONDERFUL MACHINE (Philadelphia).
The Transitory Sound and Movement Collective
is actively performing across the state and soon to be traveling further with their performances. Recent performances have happened at the Rothko Chapel, Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, University of Texas in Dallas, Arts Mission Oak Cliff, Texas Dance Improv Festival, 254 Dance Festival, Mind the Gap (Dance Source Houston) and the Asia Society (March 2019).
Lynn’s background is quite diverse but from a creative standpoint. Whilst living in NYC, he owned an interior architecture/furniture design company that has been profiled in many of the top international publications and his design work is currently represented in NYC. His fine art has also been shown internationally in galleries and museums. As a documentary filmmaker, Lynn was represented in London and NYC and has curated film events in NYC and has been in various international film festivals, He has also written for International Documentary Magazine.
