Dance Source Houston is seeking 2 interns to support the organization’s programs and events during Spring 2020. Interns will have the opportunity to work in many areas of nonprofit administration by assisting staff with marketing, communication, production and administrative activities. Interns will provide support to DSH programs including Artists In Residence, Barnstorm Dance Fest, membership, Mind The Gap and more.
The internship is best suited for individuals interested in pursuing work within the dance field and/or as an arts administrator. Ideal candidates will have a background in dance; an invested interest in supporting the local dance community; good writing, communication and time management skills; ability to work individually and as part of a team; attention to detail; proficiency in Google Drive programs and daytime weekday availability.
Internships are unpaid, volunteer positions. Work schedule is one to three days per week, four hours per day. Interns will receive an intermediate level DSH membership and free admission to all Barnstorm Dance Fest master classes and DSH’s professional development workshops for the 2020 calendar year.
