Sharieka Hall
Female / She/Her/Hers
Sharieka Hall (she/her) is a Houston-based movement artist, wellness educator, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran whose creative and healing work bridges dance, mindfulness, and community care. A graduate of culinary school and a certified yoga teacher (200HR + 300HR), Sharieka weaves storytelling, ancestral wisdom, and somatic practice into everything she does. Her work explores themes of resilience, transformation, and liberation through embodied performance, often rooted in her lived experiences with military trauma, single motherhood, and systemic adversity.
As the founder of WELLSPACE Consulting LLC, she is building a trauma-informed wellness cooperative offering yoga, mindful movement, creative coaching, and culinary healing. Her practice also includes teaching dance and yoga to fellow veterans and underserved communities, with a focus on making wellness accessible and culturally relevant.
Sharieka’s dance journey includes modern, contemporary, and African diasporic influences, and she is currently studying to become a Dance/Movement Therapist. Her creative projects—ranging from solo works and Substack essays to upcoming film pieces like What You Didn’t See—honor the body as both a site of survival and a vessel for joy. She is passionate about revillaging, rebuilding support systems for women of color, and nurturing artistic spaces where all bodies are worthy, seen, and sovereign.
