Prerna Shrivathsan is a Bharathanatyam artist based in Houston, Texas. She started her journey at the tender age of 6 under the tutelage of Smt. Sindhu Shyam (Kalaasindhu School of Performing Arts, Chennai) and completed her Arangetram on August 6,2022 in Chennai. After her Arangetram, she is also under the tutelage of Dr. Surabi Veeraragavan (Shree Natyalaya, Houston).
She brings a vibrant presence to the stage, blending strength and grace in her Nritta, and conveying deep emotion through her expressive Abhinaya. Rooted in bhakti, her performances carry a quiet intensity that resonates with audiences. Though primarily a solo artist, she finds equal joy in collaborating with others and being part of group productions, where shared creativity enriches the experience. Prerna was awarded the 2nd prize in the Junior Varnam Category at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana in 2025. She is a junior at the University of Houston, majoring in Mathematics.
