Position

Vitacca Ballet & School for Dance is seeking classically versed, energetic, and organized dance educators to join our 2026-2027 Artistic Staff and Faculty. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality ballet and/or jazz technique classes to students ages 4 to 18. The ideal candidates will be collaborative team players dedicated to fostering a structured, challenging, and nurturing environment in alignment with the Vitacca curriculum. Qualified candidates should have 2+ years experience teaching within a pre-professional training program or school.

Responsibilities include: 

• Participating in two curriculum training sessions over the 2026 summer
• Willingness to train and teach the Vitacca Curriculum
• Teaching two weeknights and/or Saturday mornings (schedule to be confirmed)
• Complete dancer written evaluations and attend in-person evaluations
• Setting short classical study works on youth dancers for Parent Observation week and end-of-year Dance Soiree
• Assist with Production Weeks and Performances
• Teach at Winter Workshop and Summer Intensives
• Bi-monthly artistic staff meetings

Contract Outline:

• Summer: Daily availability (9:00 AM – 4:00pm) during designated camp and intensive weeks
• Term One August 2026 – December Term Two January 2027 – May 2027
• Paid bi-weekly
• Off Weeks (9) – Vitacca Ballet & School for Dance season off weeks are based on HISD schedule and include observing: Labor Day, Thanksgiving (1 week), Winter Break (*1.75 weeks), Spring Break (1 week), Easter/Good Friday, Summer- (5 weeks) *Please note Vitacca’s Winter Workshop is scheduled for one day during the winter
• Additional events/hours may include: Auditions, Workshop/Intensive days, Production/performance
