Founded in 2007 by Carisa Armstrong and Christine Bergeron, the Brazos Contemporary Dance Festival aims to enrich the Brazos Valley community by showcasing the artistic works of professional dancers and choreographers. Each year, submissions are carefully reviewed by a panel of professionals, with selected works presented on a competitive basis. The festival fosters creativity, elevates contemporary dance, and connects audiences with exceptional artists from across the region and beyond.

Applications are open for the 2026 Festival hosted at Texas A&M University August 28 – 29, 2026. There may be opportunities to teach masterclasses. Submissions can be for live performance pieces or screendance works under 15 minutes.
