Break-In Dance Fest is accepting applications from Texas-based choreographers and dance artists for our 2026 festival taking place August 6 & 7, 2026 at The MATCH in Houston, TX.

This artist-centered festival is designed to support the development and presentation of new work in a professional, community-driven setting. Selected artists will receive a stipend, paid teaching opportunities, professional photo and videography, and the chance to connect with fellow artists and industry leaders.

Eligibility: Open to Texas-based choreographers, independent artists, collectives, and companies — current residents, part-time residents, and students attending school in Texas are all welcome to apply.

Work Requirements: Original choreography, approximately 5–12 minutes in length. Works in progress are accepted.

Application Deadline: April 3, 2026. Artist Notifications: April 16, 2026. No application fee.
