Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB), Houston’s premier pre-professional ballet company, celebrates its 29th season, beginning with its 26th annual performance series of The Nutcracker, featuring exquisite professional guest artists Léa Fleytoux as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Jake Roxander as the Cavalier, both of the American Ballet Theatre, along with Quinton Brooks as the Snow King, and Joseph Modlin as Herr Drosselmeyer, with the HRB Company Orchestra directed by Tarana Taylor. Quinton Brooks appears courtesy of Houston Ballet II, official second company of Houston Ballet, Julie Kent & Stanton Welch AM, Artistic Directors.

HRB moves its beloved annual performances of The Nutcracker to the new state-of-the-art theatre, CFISD Visual and Performing Arts Center! To make the move into the new theatre, HRB invested $200,000 in newly designed and created sets by the talented designer, Ian Loveall, and creators, Dallas Stage Scenery. In the professional orchestra pit, the production will be accompanied by HRB’s Company Orchestra to perfectly complement The Nutcracker’s brilliant blend of beautiful costumes, lavish new sets, and fresh choreography. Through these changes, HRB continues to elevate its level of professionalism while maintaining affordability. Tickets are sure to sell out more quickly than ever before.
