This movement workshop will explore Laban’s Space Harmony and Choreutics. Dancers will dig deep into how their bodies move through and connect to space. Dancers will learn and draw Laban’s dimensional matrix, move through the dimensions, planes, and diagonals, observe movement in space through the lens of crystalline forms such as the cube and the Icosahedron, and begin to work with Laban’s scales in exploration of harmonic spatial relationships.
