Nia’s Daughters Movement Collective, founded in 2018, is a professional dance company that creates and supports multigenerational cultural arts and educational initiatives.. The company has developed original dance theater works, installations, and film projects that uplift women’s stories and illuminate Black history and cultural memory. Notable works include the touring historical fiction production The Fairytale Project, inspired by the founders of the Texas Freedom Colony, Shankleville.
