Creative Minds Collaborative (CMC) cultivates cultural understanding between Houston’s diverse communities through collaborative dance works.
CMC creates meaningful interactions for the public through the production
of new dance programming that bridges the educational, cultural, and artistic sectors, partnering with business and community leaders from Houston to as far away as Japan.
Artistic Director and choreographer Nao Kusuzaki curates each season around a cultural theme, and from there builds a series of site specific performing arts events and workshops.
Thanks to this creative mobile model, CMC connects previously unfamiliar communities with each other, often across great distances. CMC values artists and their work. The organization aims to nurture dancers and musicians by providing them a platform to collaborate, and cultivates future generations of dancers by providing educational workshops and performance opportunities.
