Supradipta is trained in both Indian classical dance forms of Bharatnatyam and Odissi. She has been a dance educator for more than three decades. She has performed extensively for more than 40 years both in India and the USA in prestigious festivals like the Khajuraho Music Festival, the Puri Beach Festival, the first World Odissi Conference in Washington DC, Yugmadwanda (Ohio Arts Council) to name a few. In 2003 she established Kalaangan, a premier institute in the greater Houston area solely dedicated to practicing and promoting Odissi. Currently she also heads the Odissi program at Silambam Houston and Kala Bhavan (the education wing of Houston Durga Bari Society). She also created ONNOI, a 501(c) non-profit organization that seeks to build bridges amongst different cultures of the world. She has collaborated with other artists from different genres on projects and has also produced and choreographed several projects like Dreams of an Immigrant Mother, Raktabeeja Badh, Vande Mataram, etc. She has earned the title of Sangeet Kriya Visharad in both Bharatnatyam and Odissi. She is the recipient of several awards including the Nritya Prava award by the Orissa Culture Center.
