Keisha Thompson-Williams is a Houston-based dance educator, choreographer, and creative director whose work centers storytelling, identity, and the social–emotional experiences of youth and communities of color. With a career grounded in public-school dance education and arts leadership, Keisha creates choreography and learning environments that honor student voice, empathy, collaboration, and personal growth. In addition, she has curated dance programs, directed student companies, and developed culturally responsive curriculum that integrates social-emotional and character development — work she has shared through conference presentations and professional development for arts educators. Currently, Keisha is completing her M.A. in Dance with a concentration in Education at Texas Woman’s University, where her research investigates culturally responsive pedagogy, artistic agency, and the role of creation as a vehicle for healing and self-definition.
