Creating Contemporary Connections w/ Lilly Rae Thurman // Tuesday, May 28 10-11:30am @ Hunter Dance Center
This class will explore the intersection of intricate gesture work and dynamic floorwork, aiming to foster connections with movement, fellow dancers, and ourselves. Dive into the intricacies of character development as we discover the artistry of storytelling through movement sequences.

Contemporary Movement Practice w/ Jax Neal // Wednesday, May 29 10-11:30am @ Houston Met Dance
This contemporary dance class combines martial arts, floor work, and various folk dances into a fluid, sense-based movement practice. Will focus on feeling rhythm, instinct, and soul through the body.

Silambam Houston faculty conduct a comparative overview of two Indian Classical dance forms, Odissi and Kathak.  The class provides a glimpse into the history and rich heritage that has shaped the modern persona of these two styles.
This class will play with practices from Dance Movement Therapy, improvisation, and contemporary dance to develop resources to support creativity and connection to the self and others. All levels of dance experience are welcome.
