In addition to one third of United States Senators and all the House of Representatives having just faced election, 27 governors were also up for election along with 5,808 (78%) state legislators in 44 states. Additionally, thousands of County Officials, Mayors, City Council Members, and other local officials have been elected and Americans have voted on many state and local ballot initiatives!
