Are you looking for Aerial Summer Camp counselors and instructors interested in teaching aerial arts and circus to youth. If you’re ready to spin, tumble and fly into action, teaching aerial and circus skills as a summer camp counselor or instructor could be the perfect job for you! Teaching aerial skills and circus arts is an interesting and unique way to spend your summer. From flying in the silks to dancing on the trapeze! A summer at camp will allow you to explore and develop your distinctive skills. If circus is not your style, but you are a gifted magician you can also teach this at camp! From sleight of the hand to illusion, you can bring your creativity to camp! Help equip the next generation of aerialists and performers to improve their skills as well as confidence.  There is tumbling, juggling, rings, dancing, trapeze, triple trapeze, bungee, hammock, silk, ropes, and other acts available at our camp, so there is definitely a place at camp for everyone! 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
-Adhere to The ARTZ’s policies, objectives, and rules 
-Support The ARTZ’s mission and vision
-Coach aerial Summer Camp with an emphasis on safety, positivity, and small steps to success
-Follow curriculum and weekly rotation
-Present a high level of professionalism
-Participation in The ARTZ staff training
-Communicate with department coordinator concerning needs, challenges, and student progress 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate
-Should have previous coaching and/or performing experience in one or more of the following; Dance, Gymnastics, Trampoline, Acting for Stage, Parkour, Acrobatics, Juggling, Unicycle, General Circus Arts, AcroYoga, Aerial Circus (silks, trapeze, hoop, bungee) &/or fitness instruction
-Be able to pass a background check
-Have a passion for working with youth
-Be able to demonstrate skills
-Have good leadership skills
-Be dependable
-Must be available to work varying shifts between 8:00 am & 5:00 pm 
-Willingness to learn additional areas in The ARTZ
-Ability to lift equipment and to spot children  We are willing to consider applicants with minimal or no teaching experience provided they can show that they have a passion for working with youth and are committed to growing and learning aerial arts as an instructor/coach.

If you have some sort of teacher training, that will be extremely beneficial. For applicants without prior teaching experience, please include on a separate page why you wish to pursue teaching, any experience that will show as beneficial whether in circus or outside of it, as well as any other information that you deem relevant.

Salary: $10.00 – $20.00 per hour
